This is the year...

for a successful garden. I claim it!! After years of gardening failure, I am proud to announce that I have had a successful season of English peas, which are already done and gone, and now green beans, potatoes, zipper peas...

and okra!! And this is just the back garden. The front garden is doing its part to maintain my reputation as a vegetable killer. There zucchini, summer squash, bell peppers, tomatoes, pumpkins and butternut squash are struggling to survive.

AMAZING!!!! What a big garden you have my dear. Did you die laughing when you saw our garden?

Do you freeze all those peas? If so..how is it done?

No, I did not die laughing over your garden! I was thinking you were very smart to start small. Raised beds are awesome for a small garden!

Yes, I froze the peas. I just washed them and threw them in a freezer bag. Easy!

Well, my green beans are not doing so hot, but my squash, zucchini, and peppers are looking fabulous. I should have plenty to share :)

Joyce, the garden looks great. Just have Jason cut some straw from his wheat field to mulch the tomatoes and squash. Put a thick layer down and you may be able to save them. Love, Mom

Joanne, I've just been thinking about you and missing you!! We would LOVE to come visit you next week some time.

I hope your husband's tomatoes do better than mine! At this moment, they are mostly dead.
